Abstract
This study deals to examine the physico-chemical, structure, thermal, and surface topography of spider silk fibers. Spider silk fibers were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. SEM analysis observations indicated that the presence of a smooth surface. The X-ray analysis evidenced that these fibers have a crystallinity index of 24%. The thermogravimetric analysis reveals that spider silk fibers are thermally withstanding until 450 degrees C.
