Abstract
Nowadays, the enhancement of heat sink efficiency using nanofluids is an important area that academics are focusing on. Until now, there is no study has been carried out to examine the performance of hexagonal twisted fins on heat sink efficiency using nanofluids in light of its thermal radiation effect. The aim of this research is to investigate numerically the efficiency of employing SWCNT-water nanofluid into an inclined heat dissipator box featured with twisted hexagonal fins beneath the impact of Lorentz forces, take into consideration the nanoliquid radiation effect. The study is constructed using the Comsol Multiphysics tool. The Rayleigh and Hartmann variables, the radiative element, the aspect ratio of twisted hexagonal fins and the distance between fins are all analyzed as variables that affect the heat transfer efficiency. The impact of different box tilt angles is also discussed. The data reveal that expanding the amount of Rayleigh parameter enhances the heat exchange rate, whilst, the Lorentz forces diminishes it. In addition, the heat sink efficiency rises by 45.59 % while expanding the radiative element. Expanding the hexagonal fins aspect ratio from 0.05 to 0.2 enhances the convective flow by 32.87 %, nevertheless, growing the fins inter distance from 0.1 to 0.5 diminishes it by 2 %. The square then the hexagonal shapes provide the best heat sink efficiency by 4.21 % and 0.38 % respectively compared to classical circle fins.
