Abstract
Radiation effects in the two-dimensional flow of an electrically conducting second-grade fluid are examined. Nonlinear radiative heat flux is considered in the formulation of the energy equation. Viscous dissipation effects are retained. The developed nonlinear differential systems are solved numerically using the shooting method with a fourth-fifth order Runge-Kutta integration procedure. The solutions are validated with the built-in numerical solver bvp4c of the software MATLAB. The dimensionless expressions of skin friction coefficient and rate of heat transfer at the sheet are evaluated and discussed.
