Our aim in this paper is to investigate the behavior of the solution of the following max type difference equation of order three x(n+1) = max {A(n)/X-n, x(n-2)}, n = 0, 1, ..., where the initial conditions x(-2), x(-1), x(0) are arbitrary positive real numbers and {A(n)}(n=0)(infinity) is a periodic sequence of period two.
