Abstract
We studied the reflection spectra of one-dimensional deformed periodic photonic crystal at the optical telecommunication frequency range, using the theoretical model based on the transfer matrix method. A broad reflection bands covering the 1.3 and 1.55 mu m wavelength of telecommunication was obtained. The propagation of signals is forbidden for all incident angles and for both transverse electric and transverse magnetic polarizations. The deformation of the stack was introduced according to a power law with a coefficient k that represents the deformation degree.
