Abstract
A comprehensive analysis of heat transfer and chemical reaction of flow driven by the complex peristaltic wave in non-uniform long tunnel is presented in this article. Wall properties and the effects of chemical reaction in MHD flow are also observed in the current study. The flow problem is modeled using the law of conservations for mass, momentum, heat and chemical reaction. The nonlinear problem is simplified via long-wavelength/creeping flow assumptions and certain transformations. The resulting coupled linear partial differential equations are evaluated using the eigenfunction expansion approach; analytic solution is obtained. Simultaneous effects of all the physical parameters are discussed through graphs. Trapping phenomenon is also presented by drawing streamlines. In addition, a comparative analysis of fluid with Newtonian properties is performed with non-Newtonian ones. It is observed that the flow tends to reduce in non-Newtonian fluid than in Newtonian fluids.
