Abstract
The simplest equation method is proposed in this work to investigate the nonlinear differential equation describing the nano boundary layer flow over a stretching surface subject to the linear Navier boundary condition. The method has been widely used to solve various nonlinear wave equations. However, the present paper may be the first to apply this method to nonlinear boundary value problems. The exact solutions are obtained at different values of the parameter describing the type of stretching. The range of physical parameters for which the solutions are valid is also discussed.
