Abstract
This paper is devoted to study the periodic nature of the solution of the following max-type difference equation:
x(n+1) = max {A(n)/x(n-1),x(n-2)}, n = 0, 1, . . .,
where the initial conditions x(-2), x(-1), x(0) are arbitrary positive real numbers and {A(n)}(n=0)(infinity) is a periodic sequence of period two. Copyright (C) 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
