Abstract
Cu2ZnSn(S, Se)(4)(CZTSSe) have become increasingly popular due to the improved efficiency with different architectures for various types of solar cells. Due to its high absorption coefficient, low toxicity, an abundance of its components, and direct bandgap, it attracted intense attention as an absorbent material for thin-film solar cells. According to the Shockley-Queisser (S-Q) detailed-balance model, the constraining performance of photovoltaic energy conversion for single-junction solar cells is 33.7%, for an ideal 1.34 eV bandgap. In the present study, we have prepared a CZTSSe nanoparticle using the hydrothermal process. The film of the CZTSSe nanoparticles has been developed by the thermal evaporation method. The structural and surface morphology have been investigated by x-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), and Raman-scattering. UV-Vis spectroscopy has been used to study the optical properties of synthesized nanoparticles for solar cell applications. This research suggests that the synthesized nanoparticles could be used as an efficient device for photovoltaic modules.
