Abstract
As well as the other organizations, the Catholic Church has an organized structure, formation and administration. However, despite the rigorous formal education during the priestly formation process, a reflection arises as to the need for the inclusion of administrative knowledge, considering that when priests are ordained, many of them need to act in the management of communities and in the church as one all. Thus, this study is guided by the problematic: how can the Catholic Church include knowledge of administrative management in priestly formation? What is the contribution of this inclusion? In order to answer these questions, this article has this objectives: a) understand the process of priestly formation in the Catholic Church in a Diocese of the state of Parana; b) investigate the perception of priests and a seminarian about the need for administrative formation; c) identify how the Catholic Church can include knowledge of administrative management in priestly formation. For that, was used a qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive, with the objective to know the formative reality of seminarians and priests of the Diocese under study, located of the state of Parana, characterized as a case study. The dataa were collected through participant observation, interviews and questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and content analysis. The main results point to the existence of a possible fomation lack in the area of organization management, which could be settle with the offer of improvement courses after the formal education process of seminarians or priests.
