Kinetic regularities of liquid-phase oxidative dehydrogenation of 2,3,5-trimethyl-1,4-hydroquinone in the presence of silicon dioxide gel in aqueous methanol were stidied. The gel was shown to inhibit the oxidative dehydrogenation with oxygen and catalyzes the reaction with Cu2+ ions.
