Abstract
Alternariosis are phaeohyphomycosis that are mainly encountered in immunocompromised patients and most often involve the tegument. We describe a case of human infection diagnosed in an immunocompetent patient who presented with both cutaneous and Palatine lesions. No Alternaria fructifications were obtained in Sabouraud-cultured biopsy material. Sequencing of the Strain led to the identification of Alternaria infectoria as the causal agent. Amphotericin B treatment led to the resolution of the skin and stabilization of the Palatine lesions.
