Abstract
This study sheds light on the perceptions of French language from students at Jordanian universities when Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is applied in the class of French as a foreign language. To achieve this goal, we carry out a survey that helps not only to understand the importance of using FLE but also to determine the cognitive, social and educational factors that influence these perspectives. Having an understanding of such factors will allow the introduction of new learning environments and will guide teachers in their selection of educational sources. The results have revealed that the Internet is one of the most common tools in a teaching environment where learning about culture does not exist. Accordingly, the main factors that influence these perspectives are: the students' understanding of learning French as a foreign language; the socio-cultural practices in utilizing ICT; and finally, the nature of the teacher-student relationship and its connection to the information and communication technologies.
