Abstract
Quasifree pion electroproduction from deuteron is studied in the
Δ(1232)-resonance region with special emphasis on beam-target
double polarization observables. The MAID-2003 model is used for the
elementary pion electroproduction amplitude on the free nucleon.
Results for the polarized longitudinal structure functions
FL22, FL21,FL20 and FL11 for various pion
electroproduction channels with a longitudinally polarized electron
beam and a polarized deuteron target are given. A quite satisfactory
agreement with the results of previous models is found. We expect
that these results may be useful in interpreting the upcoming
