Abstract
The performance of multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) LTE systems critically depends on how the interference is estimated and managed. In this letter, we propose a practical framework for interference estimation for LTE networks. Moreover, we present a practical suboptimal non-iterative method for managing the interference through utilizing the interference knowledge. Furthermore, we consider the non-ideality of MU-MIMO precoding resulting from limited channel knowledge. Finally, we evaluate the proposed framework benefits through comparisons with other techniques.
