Fifty Seven dromedary camel foetuses with crown vertebral rump length (C.V.R.L.) ranging from 8.5 - 107 cm were collected from slaughter house. These were processed for morphological and histological studies on kidney. The metanephros was detected at 8.5 cm C.V.R.L. and attained permanent kidney like structure at 93.3 cm C.V.R.L. in camel foetuses.
