Abstract
Based on the Ullmann synthetic protocol, melamine-based porous organic networks, to be used for hydrogen storage, were prepared by a facile one-pot approach. These polymers were produced by condensation of melamine with different aryl halides under mild conditions, using a soluble copper(I) complex as catalyst. These materials exhibit Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas up to 19.8 m

/g as measured by N
2
adsorption at 77 K, and exhibit gravimetric storage capacities up to 1.17 wt.%, at 20 bar and 77 K.
