Abstract
We report a case of a four-year female with primary extra-nodal diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of bilateral ovaries. Ovary is one of the uncommon primary extra-nodal sites for non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and Burkitt lymphoma (BL) is the most frequent type primarily affecting ovaries in children <5 years. In adults and elderly, ovaries are predominantly involved by DLBCL which is exceptionally rare in children <5 years. It is extremely important to differentiate DLBCL from BL because of two important reasons: 1) DLBCL being an aggressive malignancy, has a less favorable prognosis as compared to BL which is a potentially curable entity, and 2) different treatment strategies.
