Abstract
Some policies on social housing in Colombia are designed to progressively benefit families with a certain level of protection from the State. This work focused on evaluating the Priority Interest Housings (PIH) of a project implemented in the periphery sector of the city of Tunja- Colombia from the perception of users, a project framed in Law 1537 of 2012. The methodology had a quantitative approach nuanced with elements of hermeneutical analysis; the information was collected through a survey of 100 heads of households. The information was processed with the SPSS software. The results showed that the beneficiaries perceived PIH as an opportunity provided by the government to improve their quality of life; however, its design and construction have not been optimal concerning physical- environmental and social aspects, requiring the implementation of location improvements and greater social inclusion.
