Abstract
Emotional intelligence means the capacity of an individual to deal with various emotional situations and make effective decisions in a given context. The purpose of this study is to assess the understanding of teachers’ emotional wellness to deal with unexpected or common educational contexts where they are expected to use their own judgements which should comply with their professional ethics which would yield better job satisfaction and make their teaching experience a fruitful one. In the present study 360 male and female teachers, teaching at various universities in different provinces of Saudi Arabia had been identified for the study. The standard and validated scales were used to descriptive as well as inferential statistics. The correlation analysis revealed that there were significant and positive relations between professional ethics and emotional intelligence.
