Abstract
The primary objective of this study was to reveal the structural polypeptides of local fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAV-4) associated with hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome (NHS) using 12.5% resolving gel. For the isolation of virus, livers samples were aseptically collected from four different field outbreaks in commercial broilers from Faisalabad. A 15-45% (w/v) sucrose gradient was used for purification of virus samples. Virus was confirmed by agar gel precipitation test. The protein fractions of local isolates were revealed by using 12.5% gel with discontinuous buffer system for sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). Twelve structural polypeptides having molecular weights from 13.2 kDa to 110.0 kDa were observed.
