Abstract

ORIGINAL ARTICLE
ABSTRACT A 30-week preterm infant ventilated for respiratory distress syndrome developed severe right-sided pulmonary interstitial emphysema, pneumomediastinum, and subcutaneous emphysema involving the neck. Selective bronchial obstruction and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation showed dramatic improvement in the clinical and radiographic condition of the infant.
