Abstract
Proton-induced X-ray emission and X-ray fluorescence have been used as a combined non-destructive nuclear technique for quantitative analysis of Jordanian stainless steel 300 series type. An attempt was made to clarify and resolve severe problems inherent in the use of such techniques. A correction which varies up to 40% depending on the excitation energy and the element detected was implemented. Accurate and reliable quantitative analyses of this type of material are reported.
