Abstract
In this paper, the generalized logistic distribution is discussed; as the name for several different families of probability distributions. Therefore, some statistical properties for it are studied. Estimators for the unknown parameters of the generalized logistic distribution are derived using different methods of estimation, among them maximum likelihood, efficient evaluation of the probability density function and the cumulative distribution function and moments. Also, the relationship between the generalized logistic distribution and other distributions are presented. Evaluating the performance of the estimators of the parameters is considered through some measurements of accuracy via Monte Carlo simulation.
