Abstract

Metallurgy & Metallurgical Engineering Science & Technology Technology
The effect of annealing temperature in the range of 150 - 250 degrees C on the structure, hardness, and tensile properties of alloy Al - 5 wt.% Mg rapidly quenched from 500 degrees C is studied. It is shown that the Vickers hardness and the rupture strength increase upon growth in the annealing temperature while the ductility decreases.
