Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to provide basic information about the supply chain controlling and its design structure in automotive industry in Pakistan. This also gives information about the operation of supply chain on automotive industry from perspective of the manufacturer. The better supply chain control and management has enhanced competitiveness leading to good growth in exports and economy of Pakistan. The paper gives an overview of the industry structure, factors that drive the industry, the top players in industry. The basic processes involved in supply chain controlling, the major issues involved in supply chain management and their solution for better production. The Paper seeks to understand the concept of Supply Chain Controlling its importance in automotive industry and its impact on Industry for better economy. Strategy for overcoming challenges as a framework. Business strategies for just-in-time production and build-to-order model can be considered a solution for better Supply chain management to help reduce the cost and time of production to consumer. The paper includes a case study of Pakistan Automotive Industry and its development and how key business processes support one of their supply chains. The paper also gives a brief explanation about how supply chain management can be effective in growing automotive industry in Pakistan.
