Abstract

4-(4-Chlorophenylazo)-1H-pyrazole-3,5-diamine reacted with ethyl acetoacetate, benzylidenemalononitrile, ethyl propiolate and malononitrile under microwave irradiation to afford pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine derivatives in high yields. The structures of compounds were confirmed by H-1, C-13 NMR, MS, elemental analyses and X-ray crystallography.
