Abstract
In this work, we investigate structural, optical and magnetic properties of Zn0.89Ni0.1Al0.01O nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel. In our protocol, the water has been slowly released following an esterification reaction, then, this solution was dried under supercritical conditions of ethyl alcohol and heat treatment in air at 500 degrees C for 2 hours. The structural and morphological properties showed that the obtained samples have a wurtzite structure with a crystallite size around 25 nm and a secondary phase has been detected, attributed to NiO phase. UV-Vis spectroscopy shows that a band gap of 3.368 eV was obtained, a value close to that of bulk ZnO. Magnetic measurements at 10K and 300K showed a superparamagnetic.
