Abstract
Three new saponins were isolated from the aerial parts of
Fagonia mollis. They were characterized as oleanolic
acid-3-O-6′-O-
methyl-β-
d-glucuronopyranoside
, oleanolic acid
3-O-α-
l-rhamnopyranosyl
(1→3)-6′-O-
methyl-β-
d-glucuronopyranoside
and oleanolic acid
3-O-α-
l-rhamnopyranosyl
(1→3)-6′-O-
methyl-β-
d-glucuronopyranosyl
28-O-β-
d-glucopyranoside
. The structures of these saponins were determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
