Abstract
Lake Edku is a shallow brackish- water lake. The water source is mainly the wash soil from the surrounding agricultural lands. The present work aims to evaluate the role of some sedimentary factors which may control the concentration and distribution of the phosphorus species in core samples. The data show that the main controlling factors of phosphorus concentration are grain size, carbonate and organic carbon contents.
