Abstract
Controlled localization of Eeonomer
® additives (i.e. thermally stable polyaniline or polypyrrole composites with carbon black) within heterogeneous nylon 6/polypropylene (NY/PP) blends have been investigated. By varying the conductive polymer to carbon black (CB) ratio it was possible to fine-tune the polarity of Eeonomers
® and achieve very low percolation thresholds due to preferred Eeonomer
® localization at the 2D plastics phase boundary.
