Abstract
Silica sulphuric acid-catalyzed, simple, one-pot, cost effective and environmentally benign process for the synthesis of dihydropyrimidones is described. The novel compounds were tested for antibacterial activity and was found to be effective against some gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
