Abstract
We report a facile and surfactant assisted synthesis of polyaniline microrods (PANI-MR) by “single-step chemical oxidative polymerization” method. The morphology of the PANI-MR was investigated by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The average diameter of single PANI-MR was calculated to be ∼1.3μm. The physiochemical characterization was examined using UV–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The electrical conducting property of the PANI-MR was analyzed using four-probe measurement method.
