We present a scheme for subwavelength single-atom localization that is based on the photon statistics measurement of the resonance fluorescence from the two-level atomic system. The photon number distribution of the resonance fluorescence depends on the position of the atom inside the standing-wave driving field via the position-dependent Rabi frequency. We show that this position-dependent Rabi frequency can be used to localize the atom within the subwavelength region.
