In this article new application of Lie method of symmetries has been discussed. This has been done by applying Lie technique to integro-differential equation. With the help of the Lie's method and studying the phase plane of the resulting dynamical system, different classes of exact similarity solutions are found. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
