Abstract
Retroperitoneal hematomas are rare in obstetrics.
A 36-year-old female presented two days following uncomplicated non-traumatic spontaneous vaginal delivery with an acute onset of severe left lower quadrant abdominal pain. The patient was hypotensive, tachycardic, and febrile. The hemoglobin dropped post delivery to 75 g/L. A non-contrast CT scan revealed a retroperitoneal hematoma.
Conservative management approaches resulted in spontaneous remission of the retroperitoneal hematoma.
Les hématomes rétropéritonéaux sont rares en obstétrique.
Une femme de 36 ans est venue consulter deux jours après un accouchement vaginal spontané sans traumatisme et sans complication en raison de l'apparition soudaine d'une douleur abdominale aiguë au quadrant inférieur gauche. La patiente était hypotendue et fébrile, et présentait une tachycardie. Son taux d'hémoglobine avait chuté à 75 g/L après l'accouchement. Un tomodensitogramme sans contraste a révélé la présence d'un hématome rétropéritonéal.
Une approche de soins minimale a permis la résorption spontanée de l'hématome rétropéritonéal.
