Abstract
Some new indeno[1′,2′ :4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines were prepared from the reaction of 2-aminoindeno[2,1-b]thiophene-3-carbonitrile (

) with different reagents. Also, some indeno[1′,2′ :4,5]thieno[3,2-e]tetrazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidines and indeno[1′,2′ :4,5]thieno[3,2-e][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-c]pyrimidines and their isomeric [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidines were prepared. The antimicrobial evaluation of some prepared products showed that many of them revealed promising antimicrobial activity.
