Abstract
Mixed-ligand complexes of Z
4+
and La
3+
with thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) and aliphatic amines (A) (diethylamine and n-butylamine) have been prepared and characterized in the solid state. Microanalytical data of the investigated complexes correspond to the general formula M(TTA)
n-m
(H

O)
m
(A)
x
where M refers to the metal ion, n, m, and x are the numbers of the coordinated TTA-, H
2
O and A molecules, respectively. The solid complexes have been characterized using conventional chemical and physical methods of analysis.
