Abstract

Condensation of sulfanilamide with acid anhydrides produced the corresponding amide derivatives, which on treatment with hydrazine hydrate yielded the hydrazones. The structures of the prepared compounds were confirmed by IR, PMR, and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and x-ray crystallography.
