Abstract

Some new 3-heteroaryl-quinazolin-4-one (IV-XVIII) have been synthesized via interaction of 3-amino/3-aminoethyl-2-ethyl-6-iodoquinazolin-4-one (II,III) with different ore-compounds. Structure of the products has been established by elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, H-1 NMR and Mass). Significant antimicrobial activities were observed for some members of the series.
