Abstract
4-formylazohydrazoaniline antipyrine and its UO2 (VI), Sn(IV), and Th(IV) complexes have been synthesized. The structures of these isolated complexes have been characterized by IR, elemental analysis, molar conductivities, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The ligand behaves as a neutral bidentate in the hydrazo form or monobasicbidentate and tridentate in enol-azo form. Coordination takes place via the carbonyl oxygen of the side chain, azomethine nitrogen and enolic oxygen.
