Abstract
A series of substituted heterocyclic derivatives were prepared from compounds 2-chloro-N-(4-(3-(substituted phenyl)acryloyl)phenyl)-5-methoxybenzamides 2, which were prepared from the corresponding 5-chloroanisic acid (2-methoxy-4-chlorobenzoic acid) as starting material. Treating of compounds 2 with methylhydrazine or phenylhydrazine afforded the benzamides 3 and 4, respectively. The acryloyl derivatives 2 were reacted with hydrazine hydrate in dioxane to afford a pyrazoline derivatives 5, which were acetylated with acetyl chloride in dioxane to yield the N-acetyl analogues 4. Additionally, pyrazolines 6 were reacted with secondary amine and paraformaldehyde to give the corresponding N-substituted pyrazoline derivatives 7. The structure assignments of the new compounds are based on chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
