Abstract
This study aimed to synthesis of yttrium(III), niobium(V) and molybdenum(V) complexes of atorvastatin (ATR). These complexes have a molecular chemical formula [Y(ATR)3].15H2O (I), [Nb(ATR)2(Cl)3].4H2O (II) and [Mo(ATR)2(Cl)3] .H2O (III). The ATR complexes were discussed based on micro analytical, spectroscopic and thermal analysis. The outcome data revealed that the ATR drug acts as bidentate ligand through carboxylate group. The molar conductance values deduced the no electrolytic behavior upon the disappeared of the ionic chlorides. The biological activities of the synthesized ATR complexes were checked against bacteria and fungi species as well as the cell lines of human Hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG-2).
