Abstract
A series of K2La(1-x)Eux(PO3)(5) (x = 0.5; 1; 5; 10) polycrystalline powders were prepared with flux method. The obtained powders are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and FTIR spectroscopy. These polyphosphates crystallize in the monoclinic phase with space group Cc. Spectroscopic properties of the Eu3+. doped K2La(PO3)(5) at room temperature (RT) are investigated based on the emission and excitation spectra and the photoluminescence decay time. The colorimetric properties of the Eu3+ ions emission in each compound were investigated. Europium doped K2La(PO3)(5) could be a potential red phosphor for optical devices. (C) 2018 Elsevier GmbH.
