served as a precursor for the synthesis of
trans
-Cl

Ru(dppme)(alkylamine)

complexes

by reaction with RNH

. All these complexes were characterized by spectroscopic techniques and by elemental analysis. The solid-state structure of complex

was determined by X-ray crystallography.
