Abstract

Benzoselenazinone Homoebselen Organoselenium Selenoheterocycle
The synthesis of novel selenoheterocyclic analogues of ebselen is described. The synthesis of novel 1,2-benzoselenazin-4-ones which are six-membered homologues of ebselen, is described in order to evaluate their glutathione peroxidase-like activity.
