Abstract

Chelating agents Chelation Oxalic acid Roasting Sol-gel processes Structural analysis Synthesis
LiV3O8 was synthesised via the sol-gel method using oxalic acid as the chelating agent. Synthesis was carried out at different calcination temperatures (400 °C, 500 °C and before calcination). The structural analysis determined that the monoclinic structure of pure LiV3O8 formed better at a calcination temperature of 500 °C. Morphological analysis demonstrated the existence of the LiV3O8 rod structure.
