Abstract
N-2-amino-4-(furan-2-yl)-5,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile (4) was utilized as key intermediate for the synthesis of some new, pyridopyrimidine, benzo[1,5][g]oxazocine, naphthoquinone, and isoindole derivatives. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, H-1-NMR, and mass spectral data.
