Abstract
Some new 3-chloro-4-substituted pyrazolyl-1-benzenesulphonamides (3a-c), N-[4-(substituted pyrazolyi)-3-chlorophenyl] methane sulphonamides (6a-c) and 1-substituted benzoyl-6-acetoxy-3-methyl-1H-indazoles (9a-g) have been synthesized. Some of the newly synthesized compounds have been screened for their antiinflammatory and ulcerogenic activities. The compounds were found to possess significant antiinflammatory activity with reduced ulcerogenic effect.
