Abstract
In this investigation, we have studied the unsteady flow of a non-Newtonian fluid over an oscillating vertical porous plate in the presence of uniform magnetic field. Fourth-grade fluid model has been utilized in view of the fact that the results of all other differential type fluid models can be deduced as a special case. The combined effects of heat and mass transfer are considered. The series solution of the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles have been presented. The effects of involved physical parameters on the velocity, temperature and the concentration profiles are analyzed and deliberated graphically. The flow behaviour of the non-Newtonian fourth-grade fluid is compared with those of the existing Newtonian fluid results.
